#How to use these numbers
- Answer specific questions. Semrush found most AI-cited Reddit posts had under 20 upvotes and ran about 80 words. A clear, specific answer in a niche thread can be what ChatGPT or AI Overviews quotes when a buyer asks about your category.
- Monitor the threads buyers read. With 23% of US decision-makers and 32% of software buyers using Reddit for research, search your category, competitors and pricing questions on Reddit each month and reply under your own name with your role disclosed. Brand replies raised trust for 58% of surveyed Redditors.
- Plan for volatility. Reddit's Google visibility peaked in October 2025, and its ChatGPT citation share fell from about 60% to about 10% of responses between early August and mid-September 2025. Treat Reddit as one channel alongside LinkedIn, your site and review platforms, not the only one.
