A forward-deployed GTM engineer for founder-led B2B
I embed with your team and build the system that makes buyers find you: founder voice on LinkedIn, Reddit and YouTube, pages AI search can cite, and original research underneath all of it.

Why companies hire this role now
AI products only work when someone builds them inside the customer, which is why forward-deployed engineers became the hire of 2026. Buying moved the same way: the shortlist now forms in AI answers, before a seller is in the room.
- 70%
of companies planned to hire forward-deployed engineers by the end of Q2 2026, up from 5 to 10% at the start of the year.
Christian & Timbers study, reported by TechCrunch, 30 Jul 2026 - 205%
more new GTM engineering job postings from January to September 2025 than in the same months of 2024.
Bloomberry analysis of GTM engineering jobs, Oct 2025 - 94%
of business buyers use AI somewhere in their buying process, up from 89% a year earlier.
Forrester Buyers’ Journey Survey 2025, Forrester blog, 22 Jan 2026 - 50%
of B2B software buyers now start their research in an AI chatbot instead of Google Search.
G2 survey of 1,000+ software buyers, 6 Oct 2025 - 80%
of deals go to the vendor buyers already preferred before speaking to a seller. 94% of buying groups rank vendors before first contact.
6sense 2025 Buyer Experience Report, 4,000+ buyers, 12 Nov 2025 - 61%
of B2B buyers prefer a buying experience with no sales rep, and 73% avoid suppliers who send irrelevant outreach.
Gartner survey of 632 B2B buyers, 25 Jun 2025
The record behind it
- 3,600+LinkedIn posts written for SaaS and AI founders since 2015
- 81,900reactions on one founder post for Shayna Ecounified, 2023
- +642%reactions on the SugarBox Networks (Zee) company page in three months
Named one of Forbes Game-Changing Leaders in 2025. My own study of 50 B2B buyer questions found YouTube cited in 48% of Google AI Mode answers and LinkedIn in 44%. Read the study and its method. All case studies.
What I built, and where it lives
Klype AI is my own product, so it is where I test the system before a client gets it. Each piece below is public. The status is the only claim; follow the link and check it.

What the same build costs in-house
Doing this with employees usually means three hires and a tool budget. These are market figures from public salary and pricing data, checked on 2 November 2026.

The first 90 days
Each phase ships something public. Nothing waits for a strategy deck.
Days 1 to 30
Instrument and ship the base
- Audit where buyers ask AI tools and search engines about your category, and record which companies get named.
- Capture the founder voice and company facts in Klype so every draft uses the same source of truth.
- Set up the weekly ship log and the Slack channel; publish the first founder posts on LinkedIn.
- Fix the foundations AI systems read: llms.txt, schema, comparison and alternatives pages.
Days 31 to 60
Build the channels
- Launch the research programme: one original study with a methodology page and sourced claims.
- Stand up Reddit participation and a YouTube Shorts pipeline from the same research.
- Ship the first batch of programmatic SEO pages built on your own data.
- Wire inbound tracking so each lead is tied to the channel and the answer that produced it.
Days 61 to 90
Compound and hand over
- Re-run the AI answer audit and report which buyer questions now name you.
- Publish the second study and expand the page set to the questions that convert.
- Document the system as runbooks so your team or a hire can run it.
- Agree whether to continue, reduce to advisory, or hand over fully.
How it runs week to week
Built for Seed to Series B B2B SaaS and AI companies in the US, EU and India, where the founder is the main source of pipeline, or where a first GTM hire needs a system to run.
- Every day
- I work in your Slack channel and your tools, remotely, on a fixed weekly scope.
- Once a week
- A working session with the founder to capture opinions, stories and facts.
- Every Friday
- A ship log: what shipped, what each piece did, what is next.
- Every month
- A review of AI answers for your buyer questions and of inbound by source.
Questions
Anything else, ask on the call or write to me.
What is a forward-deployed GTM engineer?
It borrows from the forward deployed engineer role, where an engineer works inside a customer instead of from a distance. Here I work inside your startup and build the go-to-market system itself, rather than deliver a strategy deck or a content calendar.
Who is it for?
Seed to Series B B2B SaaS and AI companies in the US, EU and India where a founder is the main source of pipeline and there is no marketing hire, or where a first hire needs a system to run.
How is it different from an agency or a ghostwriter?
I started as a LinkedIn ghostwriter in 2015 and have written 3,600+ posts for SaaS and AI founders. This engagement goes further: I own the whole inbound system, including Reddit, YouTube, AI search, programmatic pages and the research that feeds them, and I sit in your Slack.
Is it remote? How much time does it take?
Remote only and fractional. I work as a contractor on a fixed weekly scope agreed on a call, and I do not take full-time roles.
What do I need to provide?
Access to the founder for a weekly working session, a Slack channel, read access to your analytics and CRM, and a named person who can approve drafts.
How do you measure it?
Through the weekly ship log, a recurring AI answer audit of the buyer questions that matter, and inbound leads tagged by source.
What does it cost?
Scope and terms are shared on a call after I understand your stage and channels.
Build it inside your company, not next to it
A 30-minute call to look at your stage, your channels and the buyer questions you should be named for.
Sources and method
Market figures are quoted as each source states them, with the source’s own date, and were checked on 2 November 2026. India GTM engineer ranges are estimates published by SyncGTM, not official data. Client figures come from my case-study records and platform screenshots on the case studies page. Klype statuses are as of the same date. Klype is available in Claude’s connector directory; that is a listing, not a partnership.
