Founder-led GTM for B2B founders

Founder-led GTM for seed to Series B B2B founders without a marketing lead: positioning, your voice on LinkedIn and Reddit, pages AI engines can cite, and a weekly review of what brings conversations in. Run by Shruti Kaushik.

Founder-led GTM makes the founder the main source of inbound while the company is too small for a marketing team. I set the positioning, run the founder’s presence on LinkedIn and Reddit, build pages that AI engines can cite, and review every week what produced conversations. When a full-time marketer is hired, the system is handed over to them.

Who it is for

  • You are a seed to Series B B2B founder and you still carry most of the selling and the marketing yourself.
  • Your pipeline comes from your network and outbound, and you have no one who owns inbound.
  • You do not know whether ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Mode name your company when buyers ask about your category.
  • You want an interim owner for 3 to 6 months until a first marketing hire is in place, not a content calendar nobody measures.

The job it does

The job is to turn the founder’s knowledge into a repeatable inbound motion that a buyer can find in three places: your LinkedIn posts, Reddit answers and the pages AI engines cite. It ends when that motion runs without me, usually with your first marketer owning it.

What the work includes

  • Positioning and buyer questions

One sharp sentence on who you serve and why, plus the 50 to 100 questions your buyers ask before they shortlist.

  • Founder voice on LinkedIn and Reddit

Posts and community answers built only from your stories, opinions and numbers, captured in interviews. You approve every word.

  • Citation-ready pages

Long-form pieces and proof pages written to be quoted, with schema and entity data so AI engines can match the founder to the company.

  • AI visibility tracking

Your buyer questions run in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Mode: who is named instead of you and which pages those answers cite.

  • Attribution

A self-reported source field, AI-referral capture and CRM tags, so each conversation traces back to a post, a page or an engine.

  • First marketing hire

A scorecard and brief for your first marketer, and a handover of the system so they start with a running motion.

Week by week

  1. 1Week 1. Interview, positioning draft and the buyer question list. Baseline run of those questions in AI engines.
  2. 2Week 2. Founder profile and voice set up. First LinkedIn drafts and Reddit community map for approval.
  3. 3Week 3. First posts and answers go live after your approval. First citation-ready page in progress, aimed at a question where competitors are named.
  4. 4Week 4. First weekly review of what produced conversations and where. Written summary and plan for month two.
  5. 5Months two to six. A weekly rhythm: one interview, drafts, one page moving forward and a Friday written update. Monthly share-of-voice across AI engines. Hiring support and handover when the marketer starts.

Checklist: how to judge any provider

  1. Do they show dated client results with screenshots, or only adjectives?
  2. Will every post come from your material and need your approval?
  3. Do they track whether AI engines name you and show you the questions and sources?
  4. Can they explain how a conversation is traced back to a post or page?
  5. Do they cover LinkedIn and Reddit, or only one channel?
  6. Is one named person doing the work, or is it handed to a junior after the sale?
  7. Is there a plan to hand over to your first hire, or does the engagement make itself permanent?
  8. Do they put scope and fees in writing before you commit?

Questions founders ask

What is founder-led GTM?

A go-to-market motion where the founder’s voice and knowledge are the main source of inbound: positioning, posts and community answers, pages built to be cited, and tracking that links conversations to content.

Who is it for?

Seed to Series B B2B founders without a marketing lead. It is not a fit for pre-revenue companies.

How is it different from a fractional CMO?

A fractional CMO sets strategy and manages. This engagement also does the production work in your voice on LinkedIn and Reddit and measures AI answer visibility. For published fractional CMO price ranges see the research page on this site.

How long does it run?

Usually 3 to 6 months, until a full-time marketing hire is in place and the system is handed over.

How much founder time does it take?

About 30 minutes a week for an interview, plus time to approve drafts.

How do I find out where I stand first?

Run the free AI visibility check. It shows whether AI engines name your company for your buyer questions and who they name instead.

How much does it cost?

Fees are set in a written proposal after a 30-minute call. No prices are listed on this site.
